Our latest roundup of VR news is here, with a few more stories you may have missed.
With VR equipment, the leak of Meta Quest 3S continues to appear before it is suspected to be revealed at Connect 2024. Meta has also confirmed that it has no plans to release motion trackers like Pico. Sony has announced that the PS5 Pro will automatically support PSVR 2 games in the next update, and one developer found the Sense Controller triggers working on PC. Reports surfaced that future Apple Vision headsets may use standard OLED panels, while visionOS 2 will be released next week. Finally, Varjo headsets are being used to help train Ukrainian pilots.
For VR gaming, XR Games is committed to Hitman 3 VR: Updates and released the ‘Day Four’ patch. Human Fall Flat VR is official, Swordsman VR is tied with Beat Saber on the PSVR 2 download charts, and Mars Garden Course for Walkabout Mini Golf is now available. Other stories appeared for POOLS VR, Metamorphosis VR, Hellsweeper, One True Path, NFL Pro Era, Track Craft, Unity, Crimen, Dungeons of Eternity, Mannequin, Vestiges, and Pistol Whip.

Brazen Blaze Season 1 – Act 3 Now Live
Brazen Blaze started the next part of its opening season with a new stage, Paris (Evening). Other improvements to Season 1 Act 3 include mouse and keyboard controls in Steam for controlling the camera in traditional games, a new system for recruiting cosmetics, and new Skybolt and Levin items. Battle Passes no longer have an “upgrade” feature, so all Act 3 rewards are available as you level up.

A mixed reality learning tool Pencil! now available for quick access on Quest 3 and Quest Pro. The art app promises step-by-step tutorials for mixed reality drawing. It uses the Quest 3 controller as a paperweight to overlay instructions onto a piece of paper that you can draw with a traditional pencil.
Team-Based Multiplayer Self-Determination Continues Searching and Steam
Published by Clique Games, Frenzy Extinction is now available on Quest and Steam after previous playtests. A new multiplayer sequel to Frenzy VR in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, your team is tasked with facing a horde of mutant monsters called “The Ridden” in a physics-based battle.
MR Combat Game Guardian Of Realms starts next week with Quest 3
Guardian of Realms, the new MR fighting game from Swordsman VR studio, has confirmed a release date. It includes two modes at launch – ‘Sandbox Mode’ offers complete control over enemy type, frequency, and difficulty, while ‘Survival Mode’ involves protecting the holy crystal at all costs. It will arrive on September 17th with Quest 3.
Freeland is a Galactic VR Endless Quest & Early Access Game
Developed by Andromeda Entertainment, Freeland is a free-to-play VR galactic adventure game. Steam and Quest on September 19 with early access.
“The galaxy is in danger, and the evil architect Ventax is putting real life at risk. Players must face challenges, form alliances, engage in intense battles, and uncover ancient secrets to bring peace Freeland,” says the studio. Press release.
